Challenge

A top-tier investment banking franchise sought to address the regulatory risks inherent in front office algo-trading quantitative models. In a particularly niche market, there would only be a handful of firms where this talent would exist. An important first step for the franchise was to secure a Global Head into the seat to build the vision for the firm.

Solution

In an extremely talent short market, we were able to identify the key senior players internationally to kickstart the search. A strong value proposition for the hire was created, and we approached a huge proportion of deputy head’s that could take up a global head role in a more boutique environment. During the search it became clear that more experience would be valued given the growth of the algo-trading franchise.

Outcome

A global head from competing franchised was installed who now leads the global function, developing and executing on their own vision.
